ABOUT OFFICE
The Office of Victim and Witnesses Support Service in Varaždin was opened as a part of the project “Network of Support and Cooperation to Victims and Witnesses of Criminal Offenses” which is financially supported by the Ministry of Justice and Administration of the Republic of Croatia. The “NETWORK” project was created with the aim of providing legal aid and support to victims and witnesses of crime in counties where Victim and Witness Support Departments have not been established. The holder of the program is Women’s Room – Center for Sexual Rights. The program is implemented in partnership with 10 civil society organizations: Center for Civic Initiatives Poreč; Center for Support and Development of Civil Society DELFIN; DEŠA – Dubrovnik; Association HERA Križevci – for the protection and promotion of human rights; Information and Legal Center Slavonski Brod; Women’s group Karlovac KORAK; SOS. Virovitica; SOS helpline for women victims of violence in Krapina-Zagorje County, association ZvoniMir Knin.

Purpose of the “NETWORKS” program
The primary purpose of the program is to respond to a situation in which the victim or witness is left to testify in court and to provide them with emotional support. experiencing a violent event.
