We are happy to announce that on International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Croatian National Call Centre for Victims of Crime – 116 006 is now able to provide support to victims and witnesses 24/7, including weekends and public holidays. By calling 116 006 victims and witnesses of crime can receive:
- emotional support
- legal information
- referral to relevant civil society organizations and institutions
- various practical information
116 006 is a helpline that is free of charge and anonymous, providing support both in Croatian and English on the territory of the Republic of Croatia. We are thankful to our project partners – the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy and the Ministry of Justice, on successfully achieving a significant goal of opening a national helpline that is available for assistance to victims of violence at any time. The work of the 116 006 helpline is co-financed by the European Social Fund: The Operational Programme Efficient Human Resources 2014-2020.
